Male Laser Hair Removal

Male laser hair removal is a growing trend. Find out what to expect, what the average and best cost is, and where to find a specialist near you.
I was doing some keyword research for one of my other Hubs and I stumbled across male laser hair removal as a set of keywords. It really caught me off guard. I never even thought of there being a market of laser hair removal for males, but I guess it makes perfectly good sense. With the increasingly popular trend - the metrosexual male - I can see why male laser hair removal would also begin to be a growing trend. Laser hair removal has actually become the top non-surgical procedure for both men and women under the age of 35. Another popular hair trend is hair restoration, which you can learn more about at the Hair Restoration Blog.
While the phrase male laser hair removal is not as readily searched as laser hair removal for men, the two phrases go to show that men seem to be following in the footsteps of women with a peaked interest in laser hair removal. What I'd like to know is - What makes male laser hair removal different than female laser hair removal?
So far from what I've been able to dig up, not much! Men seem to target the same or very similar common hair removal areas: the face, the chest, the bikini are (sorry guys, not sure what you call that area down there) ... some men are even interested in removing unwanted hair from the legs and underarms. That's a bit weird to me, but there's apparently a huge market for it. I can understand how it can become very convenient since men usually need to shave much more often than us women. I, personally, am usually a fan of hair on men. My husband has long hair (on his head) and he is a fairly hairy man. While he prefers to shave, it doesn't bother me much either way if he does or doesn't.
PR: wait... I: wait... L: wait... LD: wait... I: wait...wait... Rank: wait... Traffic: wait... Price: wait... C: wait...So ladies ... do you like your man hairy or hair less?

Procedure
So how does male laser hair removal work? It is usually a painless procedure that takes about an hour to complete. Lasers selectively heat the hair follicles, without heating the skin, and viola! the hair is gone in a few minutes!
Unfortunately, if you are a blond or red head, laser hair removal is not going to be an option for you because laser hair removal is generally only successful with dark haired subjects. It's also important to note that you will probably not be able to remove all of your unwanted hair in just one session. The average amount of male laser hair removal sessions is about 6, depending on your target areas. You can learn more about the laser hair removal process like: how it works, what affects results, the number of sessions needed, and risks. You can also watch the brief video above to the right (above) to see how the procedure is done.
Cost
If you compare laser hair removal with it's top rivals - Electrolysis, waxing, or shaving - it appears in the long run that laser hair removal may be the most economic option. As an upfront cost, it's definitely not cheap; but when you do the math and take a look at the expense over a span of five years, male laser hair removal can have save you up to a few thousand dollars!

Regardless of cost, the one key factor that sets male laser hair removal above the competition is the fact that the procedure has to be performed a lot less times. Shaving and electrolysis, for example, need to be performed daily or over a span of as much as 3 years! Who wants to wait up to 3 years to have all of their unwanted hair removed?
Location
With the average cost of laser hair removal ranging from $2700 - $4400, the only way I can think of cutting back on that expense is: don't treat yourself to salon quality treatment & save a few bucks by trying the procedure on your own, from the comfort of your own home. You can find some great deals on some laser hair removal equipment. Of course I'm not sure how great or guaranteed that type of equipment is and I recommend you research it before making any purchases.
Of course, if you prefer to be safe rather than sorry and you would like to just go to a male laser hair removal specialist, you can search a directory to find a specialist near you.

My husband removes his pubic hair once in a while, just to make a change, and I find it sexy both ways! But he does have light hair, and it's not overwhelming. I don't know how i would feel if he would have a lot of dark, thick hair, like some men do, that you cannot see anything there because of the hair! I think in such a case I would demand he should remove the hair for for me! Me and my husband we use the same hair removal cream to remove the hair. Most of them have strong chemicals that would dry your skin and irritate you and will not get the job well done. Plus you can even get ingrown hairs and razor bumps. However, the cream I use is a great one, it has natural ingredients that have hair inhibitor properties and is a 100% pain-free effective cream. It's called revitol and it's a great way to get rid of that hair fast and without irritations. I know that the FDA approved laser as a permanent hair removal method, but i heard it is expensive. However, I wouldn't like my husband to remove his hair completely, weather it is his chest, arms or the pubic hair. he can continue using my hair removal cream, revitol, whenever he feels like it, and anyone who wishes to take a look for himself and read about this chemical free hair removal cream, can do so at this link. http://www.skintreatmentguide.com/hair-care-treatm
